RBC Wealth Management has appointed former Morgan Stanley senior figure Tobbie Walter to be managing director, branch network director, to lead its offices in Oakbrook Terrace, North Shore and Lake Forest.
Walter joined the wealth management industry 20 years ago at Morgan Stanley in West Des Moines, Iowa. She relocated to the Chicago area in 2012. Most recently, she managed Morgan Stanley’s Orland Park and Joliet offices. Walter also co-founded Her Way Chicago, a group of female financial advisors whose mission is to create a community of financially educated and empowered women.
The Chicago Complex Director is Justin Ferdula.
Walter serves on the board of directors for the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, a non-profit dedicated to providing emergency shelter and essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence.
Orion, which provides wealthtech solutions for fiduciary advisors, has appointed Mark Mayo as its chief financial officer.
Prior to this, Mayo served as CFO for DISA Global Solutions, a drug testing provider, working there for eight years. He also served in CFO roles at Connect America, HireRight and several divisions of General Electric.
